Attention Deficit Disorder And You

I just cannot find a single political story to tackle right now. Seriously. The biggest thing going on is Russia giving nukes to Iran, but did anyone actually find that surprising? Did anyone gasp when they saw that story? I didn't. Sure, there are things going on, but nothing new going on. Iran is still trying to blow people up, politicians are still corrupt, and Hollywood is still full of bigots. I'm sorry, but this whole Michael Richards thing is just a bland topic. Celebrities pulling outrageous things is so frequent, it's not even outrageous anymore. I really don't care about some over-the-hill comedian and what he thinks about black people.

What else is there to talk about, OJ Simpson? Please. I can't stand old stories that keep clawing their way back to the front. Gee, maybe we should tell Greta and Nancy to bring back Natalie Holloway and Scott Peterson while we're at it. They're already on a roll after John Mark Karr.

I guess I could talk about the whole draft thing, however simple a topic it may be. You know as a Libertarian I believe people should be able to make their own choices instead of the government doing it for you. Do I really need to tell you that I think people should have the right to choose whether or not they want to put their life on the line?

So when you've got nothing important to talk about, and you've got a blog where you're supposed to regularly talk about something, you talk about unimportant stuff.

Let's talk movies for a while. I saw Stranger Than Fiction last night. It wasn't horrible, but I had the same problem with it that I had with Man of the Year. They weren't as funny as the trailers advertised. It was quite deceptive really. With both movies, just about every single joke in them, you heard in the trailer, the rest was all very serious. But it's not that I have a problem with serious, dramatic movies. It's just that I paid five bucks to see a comedy, and that's just not what I got.

But about the movie itself, Stranger than Fiction's story is so, well, strange, it will make your head hurt faster than a large Blueberry flavored Icee. You've got this character called Harold who is a character in a novel. Everything he does is narrated by the author's voice. And supposedly everything the author writes, happens to Harold. But I can't understand for the life of me how everything he does, ends up in the book. Like him responding to the narration. Like him actually talking to the author, but the author is not at the typewriter telling him what he's doing right then. Yeah, Harold is actually a real person living in the same dimension as the author. This movie is either stranger than fiction, or just a bunch of Hollywood directors on an acid trip. I wish I could tell you which it was. So is the movie worth your time? If you like laughing at Schizophrenics (and honestly, who doesn't?), you'll be able to tolerate the first half of this movie, but after that it's just a headache.

Did you hear they're making a Rocky 6? Now I'm as big a Rocky fan as you are, but how can this guy keep on fighting? He's loosing his eyesight, his brain is damaged, plus he's got to be like 60 years old now. How is he going to beat the next guy? Stabbing him with a cane? Nah. I'm sure a few montages later he could beat the Incredible Hulk up.

I still haven't seen Casino Royale yet. The piece of crap theater near me isn't playing it yet.

The PS3 madness is finally over. Weren't those good times? Waiting in line for weeks on end, spending an ungodly amount of money, and homicide. Good times indeed. Just kidding. I should hope none of my readers would be dumb enough to waste their time with Sony's new piece of garbage. Go get a 360 instead.

I have a question. Do people enjoy this ADD style writing I've seemed to adopt? I kind of started it on my post-election post. I'm sorry but I just don't have the attention span to do lengthy essays all about one news story or topic anymore. I still have to once in a while to retain any credibility I have left, but I would much rather just spit out random un-researched opinions and rants.

Okay well here's a few ADD points.

1.) You're going to get called racist by liberals because of paragraphs 1 and 6.

2.) Though the movie was not as advertised I thought it was okay, or at least the general idea of it. A bit confusing at first, but once you get the idea after the first 20 minutes it's easy to get.

3.) I hope the theater does delay Casino Royal, at least until March when I can actually get into it (legally anyway).

4.) I think it's funny how everyone stood in line and killed each other over the PS3 and then the Wii came along and quietly accomplished the same economic goal without any fuss. Personally anyone who bought either is a moron (sorry everyone I know) and should just get a nice PC instead.

5.) The ADD style is interesting. I prefer to do longer essays myself, but then I like to connect things after I've filled all the gaps, which takes an essay format. The "ADD style" works too for filler posts though, quite well actually.

I am? What did I say that was racist? I just don't about this celebrity. Now if that's racist I think I'll have to undergo some sort of operation that makes me black so I can say what I want.

You're 12 Robby? Haha. Casino Royale is PG-13.

"get a nice PC instead."

Ehh. I like PC's, but not for gaming really. The mouse/keyboard combination just doesn't match up to a controller. But if you had to like one gaming console, I'm sure you'd like the 360. Seeing as it's a Microsoft product and all.

Yeah. I'm sure when something I deem important happens I will write it like a professional column. But just talking about things like entertainment and technology, it comes to me like I was sitting around talking with some friends.

I didn't say I thought you were racist. Thier arguement will be "you don't care about black people being made fun of!" You know how it is.

Seriously? Cool. I was told it was R. Who was it that told me that?

The keyboard and mouse is easier than the controller. Three buttons and maybe five or six keys. All withen reach. Much easier.

I thoroughly enjoyed Stranger Than Fiction, and I told everyone I knew who was planning on seeing it that it wasn't a comedy. The advertising is quite misleading, I would agree, but I thought it was a very fabulous movie and a quite a breakthrough role for WIll Ferrell. Are your movies really only $5? Lucky if that's true.

I wouldn't write off game systems too quickly...I just heard on the news recently that a university near mine is considering the development of a major in video gaming...interesting how technology changes life as we know it, isn't it?

I'm a liberal and you are a racist because of paragraphs 1 and 6... how dare you... now please excuse me while I raise taxes and eat aborted babies. And also, the PS3 isn't trash, your just mad that your not rich enough to afford it. I know how you feel Cody, and it's ok. We just cope with our lack of money in different ways. Your in denial... denying how sweet the PS3 is and convincing yourself your not missing anything. Me on the otherhand... I'm more like the guy commiting homicide.

Sincerly,
Your Lord and Master,
Michael Mehigan

Four actually. Maine is pretty cool price-wise. High taxes and low wages though.

In video gaming or video game design? If it's video gaming, well I don't know about that. That's sort of like a major in professional wrestling. You know, where the "sport" is entertainment rather than skill.

We just cope with our lack of money in different ways.

Right, like some people go and create a lack of money by spending $600 on a Brainrot Deluxe.
No seriously, what do you Sony junkies see in that thing? What can I do on that that I can't do on my computer? And six hundred dollars? Geez, I could fix my car for that.

I think you're right about one thing Cody, this is sort of like a bunch of kids sitting around talking, which is good. At least the debates aren't poisonous this time.

It costs 4 dollars because it gets it's movies a couple weeks later than everyone else. Other theaters in Maine cost a lot more. The compensation is bearable, but I still want to see Casino Royale right now. They've put other big movies in right away before. Remember that pirates movie? It was there from day one and in for about 4 months.

Are you being sarcastic or do you really like to eat babies? Well, I've come to the conclusion that your're not sarcastic because you stated you would like to raise taxes, which is true. Ha! I discovered you're little secret. You like to eat babies. Isn't that right Mr. strange. Perhaps you should be pen pals with Tom Cruise.

"And also, the PS3 isn't trash, your just mad that your not rich enough to afford it. I know how you feel Cody, and it's ok. We just cope with our lack of money in different ways."

Actually I've just been spending money on more important things. Like Mixers and Microphones for that thing we are doing.

Alright, I'll just tell you all now. I'm going to be doing a podcast very soon where I debate with this guy. Mike, tell everyone your ideas on Iran so people know how wrong you are.

It's not just location Cody. It's statewide low price. In the Mid-Atlantic it's about 10-12 dollars a ticket if not more.

Good luck with the podcasting. It'll be funny to listen to you debate them baby-eatin' liberals.

I feel cooler then all my freinds that don't have one... it's kind of like buying bling. Why buy it? Because it's expensive. Same goes for the PS3 except the PS3 is more useful then bling... and it ways, more expensive:)

You thought I was being sarcastic? But to clear something up, it was aborted babies I eat. I find live ones tend to have a little less flavor. Not to mention they cry and sqirm around once you stick a fork in them and start cutting them up like stake. Also the stem cells you get from aborted ones do wonders for your health. As for raising taxes... the democrats need to do something to climb out of this defecite Bush put us in.

"Actually I've just been spending money on more important things. Like Mixers and Microphones for that thing we are doing."

Damn it Cody, how many times do I have to tell you to beg, barrow and steal to get what you need. What kind of fiscle conservative are you?

There is a difference between Capitalist and Anarchist you know.

I don't understand, are you spending money just to spend money? I don't get it. Well, it's your money I guess. If you're just spending it can I have some?

"If you're just spending it can I have some?"

Possibly...

Yeah, I was kind of joking. Not asking you for money.
